Hi, I’m going to show you what I’ve been doing over the last three days during my robotics internship. We got to build three robots, starting with the simplest and working up to the most complex: a caterpillar robot, a car, and an airplane launcher.

Position

Hi, my name is Linda. I’m 12 years old and I’m in 7th grade at the wonderful Sacré-Cœur middle school in Tourcoing. I’ve been passionate about soccer since I was very young, and I play in Bondues. Ronaldo is my idol, and I’d like to have the same career as him—to make women’s soccer as well-known as men’s soccer. I’ve been fascinated by languages since I was little, and I can speak Spanish and Arabic. My goal is to become a professional soccer player and speak five languages.

Building the robot

Building the car was pretty simple, even though the instructions weren't very clear—but it worked out anyway. Even for someone like me who isn't very good with technology or building things, it was doable. I made a lot of mistakes and had to start over, but I really enjoyed it. I thought it was kind of like building with Legos, and it was fun.

The schedule

The programming was simple, even though it was in English and I’m terrible at English and didn’t understand a word of what was written, but it was still simple
