In English, we use a 12h system. So '15 hours' will be '3 p.m.' and '3 hours' will be '3 a.m.'. 3 am = 3 hours

This means you shouldn't say 2 p.m. but 2 a.m., not 3 p.m. but 3 a.m., and so on. For example, you say "2 o'clock" when it's two in the morning...
